Tara Flippo, M.A., is a clinical faculty in the University of New Hampshire’s Outdoor Education program and Youth Programs Director at The Browne Center for Innovative Learning. Tara’s passions include facilitation and training in adventure and social justice. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Justice and Outdoor Experiential Education from Vermont College and has done significant work in cross-cultural/diversity training and youth development. In addition, Tara’s first book was published in 2016- Social Emotional Learning in Action: Experiential Activities to Positively Impact School Climate.
Experiential education purposefully engages learners in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills, clarify values, and develop people’s capacity to contribute to their communities.
